Lindsay Pichaske: Artist Talk

January 18, 2019
3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Register

Lindsay Pichaske will give a talk about her process as an artist, addressing the conceptual and textual elements of the work in her current exhibition Souvenir, and contextualizing the work on view with her larger body of work. Seats are limited. Please register to RSVP.

Pichaske is known for creating sculptures of animals that blur the line between the real and the fantastic, the animal and the human. Made out of clay and covered with a “skin” of surprising materials like string, sticks, nails, sequins or feathers, Pichaske’s creations ask viewers to reconsider their preconceptions around empathy and sentience. Join us for the exhibition opening after the artist talk, January 18, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.

This event is free and open to the public.
