Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Music or Non-Profit related fields, or the equivalent in experience.
  • Basic understanding of the principles of music education is required.
  • Must be able to establish priorities and a course of action for handling multiple tasks.
  • Must be able to communicate well with the public.
  • Must be able to maintain the normal standard of ethics, conduct and organization policies in job related activities.
  • Willing to modify plans and behavior when necessary to meet a goal.
  • Must be a self-starter and organized, working well without close supervision.
  • Must achieve goals beyond minimal levels of performance.
  • Ability to satisfactorily perform duties upon request by the Director.

  • Primary Function:

    Administrative and marketing support for the Director, front desk coverage, record keeping, and back up to the Registrar.

    Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Dispense information about all GHMS programs to the public.
    • Monitor entry into the building and cover the front desk in the afternoon and evening hours.
    • Along with Registrar, register students, collect tuition, and manually record all monies into ledger and database management system.
    • Advise and consult with Director on curriculum and student and teacher issues.
    • Advise and consult with teachers on student problems.
    • Communicate and confer with parents on lesson and teacher issues.
    • Provide administrative support for the Director, including but not limited to, filing and recordkeeping, management of schedule, marketing and outreach projects, human resources and financial paperwork, as well as other projects upon assignment.
    • Keep Director informed of progress and problems.
